well i was using a Lawn and Tractor Battery for a bit since i have a FMIC, now its dead (big suprise lol) and im going to relocate the battery in the hatch for next spring. i've read the "Low Budget Relocation" in the tech pages, but had a question regarding the wire used.

Could I use a car amplifier kit to do this? You'd think they are made for cars and they obviously can transfer power good.

and he used 2 gauge, could i use 4 gauge and be find or is 2 the limit?

i ask this because i think im going to get rid of my subs and **** in my Grand Am and was wondering if i could just use that wire.

Thanks everyone.

use a atleast 2 ga. i went to a welding supply shop and bought it by the foot. and its a nice black factory looking wire insulation. mine is in back passenger floorboard. make sure you use a dry cell batt too. reg batteries emit fumes. im rockin the redtop optima.

so i could pretty much pick up an amplifier wire kit that is 2 ga. and i'll be fine? i figured that'd be the way to go since it comes with pretty much EVERYTHING! lol and im going to get a battery box and mount mine in the hatch kind of where the fuel pump is by the reat strut tower.
