Ok... let me preface this... i read the info you have in your link.. quick question.. I'm doing an SR swap at the same time... I really just want to be able to get the car started... the top will be for another day... the plug you have to jumper-Is it the one on the bottom of the fuse box? If so, are the color of those wires (black and white) & (black and yellow). Also the other side of that plug is to remain not pluged in. The plug that plugged into it has a white wire and a gray wire... any help you can provide would be great.. I'll try to get some pics up in a few minutes....

Some pics would be nice, but all the ones I've dealt with were really thick black/yellow and black/white wires. Sometimes road grime and age changes the stripe colors.

I really need to go and rewrite that first post how to so I can clear up some of the wording. It's really muddy and I write a lot clearer these days than I used to.

Sorry for the delay (garage laptop has no card reader)... the bottom plug seems to be the one you talk about.. and what do you do with other side of plug.. just cover it up and leave it unplugged..Edit - the wires on the other side of the plug are black/yellow and black/white.... sorry if I'm just not getting it.. I know you've probably answered these questions about a million times, but you're the Guru of the 5-speed swap post..[IMG][/IMG]Again[IMG][/IMG]

I also have what I call a Lone plug.. doesn't have anything to plug into.. any help on this one would be great too..colors are brown/yellow and black[IMG][/IMG]again[IMG][/IMG]

Thanks again... this seems to be last few steps to start up...well that and bleed clutch, bleed cooling system.. etc..

for the first one, when you unplug it, one side of the plug should be attached to the auto trans sub harness. I usually just cut the plug off the sub harness and splice the wires together to complete the circuit, then plug it back into the chassis plug.

For your mystery plug, I'm not totally certain what it is where it goes. I didn't find any reference to it in the EL section of the service manual and I don't have my car on hand to out and check it real quick for where that plug goes.

Thanks guys, Yuri at Wiring specialities did my SR harness and I told him it was an auto to manual swap as well, so maybe he accounted for that when he sent back the harness. I will have to do the mod for the top, but that one doesn't seem too difficult and I've read that part about 50 times and looked at the pictures. That one seems to be isolated to just the original harness plugs. My problem gets to the SR harness and making sure I have everything plugged in for the SR side of things. The lone plug is from the original 240 harness. I think I have the electrial supplement around to check with. I lost my hard drive with all my before pictures on it. So I am kinda running blind. Again.. thanks for the help .. I'll keep ya posted.. hoping to try start up this week...

that second plug that youre looking at should be your A/C fan connection.

Thanks on the info for the Lone Plug... makes sense.. now I can use the plug to hook up the electric fans neatly.. Still have the old fan laying around so I can rob the plug end..Thanks..
