Question re: popping sound x1 on cold start, runs fine? what is it? QX4 2002

so i have this Qx4 4x4 in CT. its cold this winter, on a cold start 2 days running i heard a popping sound only once when starting, the car starts fine tho, in the past it has started funny turned over a couple times before starting, never not started, knock on wood, in the past i just had the fuel injector cleaning solution put in, now im not sure and the noise is not too good to listen to, just had a belt replaced 2nd to being loose, and tightened once, is that it? i was told to clean the battery connection? is that it, the popping is from the front for sure, no back fire, car has 103k now, got it 8mos ago wit 64k, never a prob, what do i do, this is my 3rd infiniti, in 5 yrs, i love them please help....

will try to clean battery connections in the am before the next cold start and go from there
