i posted this over at ka-t.org but not getting as much help as i expected. hopefully it works out better here.

basically the car is stopped, in neutral, warmed up and has a normal idle of 750-800rpms. i rev the engine to 6000rpms and i hear the bov and the engine stalls. i expected this because my bov vents to atmosphere so i'm not concerned about that. next i rev to about 2500-3000rpms bov DOES NOT vent and i stall. is this normal? i even disconnected the bov vacuum line, temporarily sealed the end and i rev the engine and the same thing happens. i'm running a enthalpy tuned ecu with z32 maf, deatchwerks 650cc injectors and open greddy type-rs bov.

my next problem is my bov is venting before reaching 7psi under wide open throttle. i have it set on the hardest setting and it's still venting while i'm building up boost. could it be that i have too much vacuum pressure running to my bov causing it to be so sensitive?

i really hope you guys can help me out with this. thanks

I think that recirculating the BOV will solve all your problems. Was the ECU tuned for an open BOV? Do you have a safc to help correct the open BOV?

how would recirculating the bov solve the problem of it venting at 5psi on the hardest setting when the wastegate is set for 7psi? from my understanding, recirculating the bov would solve the problem of stalling after the bov vents while driving the car. what i can't figure out is why i am stalling when i rev the engine while the bov is not venting while the car is stopped.

your BOV will always open after you rev and close the throttle plate. It doesn't matter if you rev it to 3000 or 7000. Once that plate closes your vac SHOULD jump to 25" or so. That is going to open the BOV and your turbine is always spinning and pushing a little air in there. You might not hear it, but i can guarantee that some air is venting.

And if Your BOV is leaking (open) while you are boosting then something is wrong.

Where are you getting your source for your BOV?How far away is your MAFS from your turbo inlet?
