I am of the same mindset in regards to body mods and foot settings. I have in my possession a pair of 17x8 +22 wheels that I used to run up front. With 225/45 tires and coilovers, 1* negative camber, I needed to run an 8mm spacer for clearance to the inside. (corrected offset would be +14) I could slide a credit card between the tire and spring, so the spacer was more for assurance. Fits very nicely up front, the lip is just to the inside of the fender line if looking straight down. Ideal fitment.Out back, I have a pair of 17x9 +27 wheels with 245/40 tires. I am running just at 2* negative camber, plenty of clearance to the inside, the fender lips needed only a roll. Looking straight down, the wheel sits just to the outside of the fender line. Keep in mind both front and rear tires sit fairly square on the wheels. The rears have a very mild stretch though.I have since moved up to 17x9 +14 wheels up front with 235/40 tires. Same 1* negative camber, and still no modifications neccessary to the fenders, still running the liners. To make the car look aesthetically correct, (to me at least) the car was lowered another 1/2" (total drop af about 3" front 2 3/4" rear) tie rods with rose joints were installed to accomodate the new lca angles, and the rear suspension was re-aligned to maintain my previous 2* negative and 1/16" toe. Keep in mind these are very sensible, very useful settings. Some are surprised at how evenly my tires wear, car tracks straight and brakes true. Even at this ride height, only the biggest of speed bumps will rub my exhaust, and really steep grades will rub the Xenon lip up front. Overall, I have found a very pleasing set up with minimal compromises to driveability, performance (rarely these days) and daily comfort.
