I got a used walbaro fuel pump cheap from someone online. I was reading this write-up s13-walbro-fuel-pump-install-t257071.html and found out that I dont have the isolator piece. My question is if the isolator is really necessary. Can I just ziptie it down to keep it from moving?

I'm not sure, but you may be able to use the old one off the stock unit. Sorry RJ, but it's been some time. I would think 1) it will move as a zip tie may break down over time in gas 2) i would think it may also get noisy 3) metal on metal with electrical running through it is never a good idea. For some reason I think the stock unit and the one in the kit are VERY similar. Worst case, I can't imagine that getting a replacement from Walbaro would be that difficult. Good luck.
