couldn't really find a good answer...but...in regards to having just swapped out my oem SR intake manifold for a custom built one...

For the FPR, does it just use it's own vacuum source? i.e. on the throttle body? (now a q45) and is there a particular port I need to use?

Also, on the new manifold, there are independent vacuum sources for whatever if I need to use them for...so could I run it there? or does it need to be before/on the throttle body?

Same question for the blow off valve? it's a Blitz...could I run the vacuum line to one of the ports on the manifold itself? Or does the connection need to be on/before the throttle body?

the fpr can be on its vacumm and it is before the throttle body, 99% sure on that, the bov hmm its been so long since i hooked one up, i member i ran my greddy rs off a port on the throttle body but a friend of mine has a hks and his didnt work that well so he T'd his off the vacumm on from the throttle body to actuator and the compressor surge was not so bad like that but mine was fine on its on vacumm from the thottle body

u should try to avoid this. ive always heard that vacuum is bad for wastegate actuators. u need to hook it up to something before the throttle body so it has boost only and no source. there is a piece u can buy to tap into the silicone coupler for the turbo/IC piping and just run it straight from that.

It doesn't matter. A vacuum port is a vacuum port. Just make sure you don't hook up anything before the throttle plate (intercooler pipe side) except for the wastegate, though that can be ran on the vacuum side as well.Never hook anything up before the throttle plate if it needs vacuum because there is no vacuum before the throttle plate only in the manifold

ive always heard otherwise. not sure if its true though but its better to be safe then sorry. id rather not have to replace an actuator if i can avoid it by hooking it up to a boost only source instead of something that has vacuum.then again, it might be a myth and be completly harmless.

The FPR needs to be hooked to vac. I usually prefer for it to have it's own source of vac, but we all know that the SR has a very limited amount of vac ports.

The wastegate can be hooked up to the hotside pipe, but depending on what style you have it can be hooked up both ways. I usually run it to a vac source because it'll help pull the gate closed when under vac conditions.
