heh, damnit....

this just reminds me of Nissan's "engrish"

while putting some bottles of it in totes for shipping, I noticed that it blatantly says fruid on the Nissan part tag.

ahem, carry on now...

That would be the cheapest price I've seen if that actually is ALL the fluid you'll need.

FYI, you need 6 quarts of "Genuine 'Fluid A-Active Suspension.'"

I don't think one bottle is enough. I'm thinking you need to flush the entire system. That would be at least 6 bottles.

Are you going to have an Infiniti dealership do it?

Not sure a dealer knows how...........be prepared for a 3 day wait for it to pump back up if it pumps at all [your existing problem].

Hopefully Euro Imports will have a handle on the issue. They are known as the T3 of the southwest..

They have a few Infiniti master techs, hopefully some who have a good deal of active experience..

If it is the pump, I believe I have a spare.

I seem to recall $11.25 per container from Joe, though he has always had to drop ship it from California whenever I order it. Cool "bendy straw" filler tube. 6 to 8 cans to flush seems about right. Does anyone know if a suitable substitute is available in bulk? I noticed Checker was selling 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid for $24. It was rated for piston-type high-pressure pumps...

Please don't even think about substituting for the OEM active fluid except in dire emergencies and temporarily. Active suspension fluids (mineral oil ones) are considerable different than automatic transmission fluids, power steering fluids or 'hydraulic fluids. NEVER use brake fluid (system will last about 15 seconds) or antifreeze (about one day). Normal consumption is way less than half a bottle per year.

The pnly 'acceptable' substitute for emergencies are red colored Aircraft Hydrauilc Fluid (MIL-H-5606), or either MBZ or Citroen LHM(made by Castroil) suspension fluid. MBZ is clear, Citroen is green like Nissan stuff.

DO NOT substitue unless you are expert in the fluid properties and really do know the details. Damaged internal seals due to incorrect fluid are fatal-accumulators are non-rebuildable, all the valve system seals shot, etc.

Pump not pumping on drain and refill- fix by pulling 29" vacuum on the active system reservoir, holding for 2-3 minutes. This will remove 99% of the air in the system.
