Is there any difference between a long bed standard cab 2wd manual trans and a short bed extended cab trans?

And has any one ever swapped in a d21 gas tank into a 720? Im pretty sure the 720 gas tank is like the one in my 76 280z, inline fuel pump, I want a intank one for ease of upgrading the pump. I have a 180lph and a 270lph intank ones just laying around.

The reason I need a bigger pump is because im going over to the l28et engine and I dont think the stock pump for the carbed z24 engine is going to keep up, the truck is a 85.

The configuration of the truck does not make a difference in the drive train. Nissan builds two gearboxes for their vehicles. A short box which takes higher horsepower and a long box for low rpm, high torque engines. These pick ups use a lot of different combinations. The best bet is to put the truck on a ramp and measure the box and compare it with the one from the other vehicle. As concerns the fuel tank, in the caribbean we do not have any fuel injected 720's, so I wont be able to help you there. When we installed a RB20DET in my brothers truck, we had to cut the tank to fit the walbro 225 in-tank pump.
