question on service

i have a 89 240sx and i put down $3200 for a engine swap for a 98 ka engine in early june. the car is still in my garage waiting for them to call me and tell me they can start working on it. labor was $1500. they quoted me total of $4000. but how long should i wait before i go look for someone else. am i just being impatient? they do good work and i know things can get busy; but they told me july time frame and then when i went back there they say august time frame. help what should i do.

for 1000 more you can get a stock sr20det installed

$3000 will get you a ca18det installed
