Hello everyone,
I just have a question on the price of changing ROTORS and BREAKS
as you can see I paid around $500 for rear rotors and breaks and another around another $500 for frontal rotors and breaks.
I believed the guy was hooking me up and giving me discounts but one of my friend told me it is totally a ripp off. I surfed around the web and
it seems to me like my friend is right.

19 cexp 2.00 190.00 190.00
1 D4060-JA00J PAD KIT-DI 78.22 78.22 78.22
2 43206-JA00A ROTOR-DISC 93.18 80.00 160.00
total 428.22 w/o tax

36 exp 2.00 190.00 190.00
2 40206-JA00A ROTOR-DISC 109.48 98.45 196.90
1 D1061-JA00A PAD KIT-DI 81.77 81.77 81.77
total 468.67 w/o tax

is this the fair price? I am not sure but from my research pair of ROTORS are only 100 dollars around so I do not know where 80.00 and 98.45 came from. If I was ripped off is it right for me to make a claim to the dealer?

Any insights will be appreciated

thank you in advance

God damm! That's a lot just for brakes dude! But then again, it is the dealer so they tend to charge more for services such as maintenance

Not sure if its reasonable but I do knw it will only cost less than half of that if you would've looked around, bought it yourself, and replaced them yourself. For example, you could get rear brakes for 50 bucks and another 60 to 70 bucks for front at your local autozone. Do a bit of research to see how other nissan dealers charge for services and compare from there

sounds like you got mega ripped off to me. right now im looking at Rotora stock replacements and Hawk pads for about $600 for front and rears, and installing them myself.

I would never pay someone to break my car.

Those look like OEM parts, which tend to be higher quality and on the more expensive side... minus the rotors, unfortunately for you. You can get aftermarket stuff at varying price points and quality levels. $50/rotor sounds like it would be on the lower end of the quality spectrum, at best it would be equal to oem.

It looks like he did cut you $10 & $13 off per rotor. Did you install yourself or did this person install? You do not mention labor charges...

Anyways, for the price you paid, I would've doubled down and went with the G37/370z sport bbk.

How is the quality of the stillen rotors? I was thinking about getting the fronts and rears when I get new brake pads.
