Hey everyone!

I'm a new member and in need of advice for my Nissan Pathfinder 2003. I need to replace my shocks, struts and mock springs on all sides. I am unsure as to what the best solutions are especially when I want it to be cost effective. I live in NYC where the roads are terrible. I am looking for heavy duty parts that ill accommodate my Pathy yet allow for a smoother sporty ride. In addition, my millage is at 38k and want to know what other undercarriage maintenance should I look into.

The best cost effective springs are stickin with the stock ones. When you upgrade to heavy duty (your next steup up would be OME medium duty springs, then heavy duty) your ride quality will only get harsher. The aftermarket ones can support more weight, but you mentioned smoothness and there is nothing smoother than the ones you have on now.

So, how come all this stuff has to be replaced at such low mileage?I've got all my original suspension, and I have 180,000 kms on mine.Just curious.

I wish I knew why I needed all these repairs. Tons of construction and massive potholes took a toll I guess. I heard stock parts were best suited but through a dealer it would cost triple compared to after market replacement parts. If anyone could suggest names prices and/or attachment part, it would help greatly.
