I think a lot of it depends on the key code of the OEM key. It's possible that the one that you want to have re-cut has higher ridges at all points than your existing key, but I don't think that's likely. The only way to get the titanium OEM key is through the dealer or Joe. They'll cut it based on the VIN or key code if your lockset has been replaced. I'm not sure that most locksmiths will use an eBay key blank - many want the profit margin on the blank too. My local dealership will cut aftermarket replacement keys for $25.
