I just installed a brand new Turbonetics T3/T4 from JGS on my setup. I was about to hook up the oil feed line and start her up when I started thinking about a piece of metal inside the oil feed fitting on the turbo. The piece almost fills the entire fitting, but it does have some slack so I guess oil could flow around it. Is this some kind of built in restrictor? The car is ready to go, but I don't want to take any chances with the new turbo.

The pic is a bit blurry so it's hard to tell what that is. I'd call turbonetics to find out. Does it look like it's designed to be there?

It's hard to say if it looks like it should be there or not. I'm pretty sure it's all good since if they wanted to just keep stuff out of there they would tape it up or something and not stick a piece of metal in there.

If no one is sure if this is normal or not, I'll just wait until Monday and give Lance at JGS a call.
