question on keyless entry install

Does a 93 z come with a actuator in the drivers side? i've seen some talks about some Z's having them and some not. And how do you install your basic keyless entry? nothing fancy just where would i hook the lock and unlock wires to?

if im not mistaking i think they all came with key less entry factory.. programing is a bit tricky but doable at your home no dealer programing required.. let me do a lil bit of some recon work ill get back with you and see if your car came with it factory..

okay first thing i would do is call your local dealer to make sure yours came with factory key-less entry.. do it your self and wa-la you have key-less entry.. in looking for programing for you now..

1 Open the rear hatch.
2 Close and lock all doors.
3 Insert and remove the ignition key more than six times within 10 seconds. This will erase any original ID codes from the remote control unit.
4 Manually unlock and lock the driver's side door once using the inside lock lever.
5 Press the door lock button on the remote controller one time. This enters the remote controller ID into the remote control unit.
6 Complete ID enter mode by opening the driver's side door. This cancels the ID enter/ programming mode.

There was no keyless like this on a Z32. The only way the Z32 would have an actuator in the DS door would be from someone adding it. It didn't come from the factory with one. It was, however, a dealer option to have it installed, but even then, there were no "ID codes" that were saved in the car's computer.

If it doesn't have it and you want to install it, you can add an actuator to the bar that the door lock moves. You'd have to take the door apart and see what I'm talking about.

i read on it it did say it came but it was in 1994.. don't know the build date so just wanted to make sure.. here the wiring on the 93 300zx.. this is helpful for installing aftermarket alarm with key-less remote..

okay . so can i just order any actuator for power locks or is there a certain kind? and also do i need one? is there anyway to hook the keyless entry to the passenger side so that itll unlock the pa door then therefore unlock the ds door?

your cars comes with the actuator both side.. look at the wiring pic i posted.. blue/green wire unlock and blue wire lock.. look at the door lock timer in the right side of dash..

do you have power door locks? yes or no.. if yes then you have both of them.. if no them yes you need to buy both of them or just the driver one..
