Question on J30 VLSD power!

Just installed the J30 VLSD, now there may be a little slower acceleration, but in 2 and 3rd gear the car became a beast, especially after 4000 rpm, is it just me or is it really faster?

Anyone in here actually did a 1/4 mile before and after the VLSD from J30?

Hell yeah, keep that diff in! Thanks for the link! When compared to a 4.083 Ratio, a 3.916 Ratio should definately work well with an SR or a KA-T.

i was reading another thread where members were mentioning that that the viscious fluid in the vlsd will wear out over time. how long do you think it will take for this to happen? i was thinking if the lsd was not abused as much the life would be expanded.

I changed the fluil when I put the vlsd in... and I plan on changing the fluid once about 50~75k miles

yea but you can not change the silicon viscious fluid that is responsible for the engagement of the lsd.

well... if the VLSD lasts me for another 50~75K then I can always get another at that point...

my boss AKA the owner of a shop where i work, his a mechanic he believes that there is no point really to change the fluid at all. But hey everyone has their views.

i dont know but that doesnt answer my question dude. i know the gear ratios are taller, but i was wondering real 1/4 mile times before and after.
