Has anyone painted the engine bay with the motor in the car? How long does it take to remove the motor on average for a first timer? Should I pull the motor and then paint it, or try to paint it with the motor in?

Not sure if this is feasible or not, but could I just drop the engine a foot or so without fully removing it to paint the bay?

i patinted mine with the motor in, however i had my intake head exhaust, wiring harness and everything else removed. i just put plastic over the block and crossmembers... I dont feel the engine being out would have made it very much easier. the only part which is hard to reach is the firewall.
