I truely doubt you need to register the car as a kit car. TRUELY. Go for it dude. Just don't be driving around with your car all f***ed up. Put her to sleep, fix her up, and then wake her up all nice and perty.

Ugh, this is why I moved away from Salinas and will never go back. Ugly as s*** conversions/body mods on peoples crappy cars.I have seriously never seen so many escorts with pushed out 14 inch wheels before in one place.

And a lifted 240 is FAIL all around unless your doing it specifically as a joke.

EDIT: If your just going to chop the back and keep the drivetrain/suspension car-style my comment doesn't apply to you

ok, so maybe salinas does have a few things wrong with it. and NO! i dont do the whole "ghost ride the whip" thing with 24's. lol. i am simply tired of wishing to modify the engine and this fing state doesnt allow me to. so i feel like puting my thoughts somewhere else. anyhow, i have thoughts of how to persue the idea and i would like to share it. After i gut it out i want to put patterned sheet metal along the bed, and the walls. (heres where it gets fun) Since im gonna put a smaller back window behind me then i want to atatch it onto the bed cover. and since im hispanic, I am gonna hinge it onto the rear, so if i need to open it, it will open from the front to the back. besides i have 2 12s that i need to jam in and keep in. and it will benifit in the way that if i buy groceries i can keep it in. and obviously the bed cover will also be optionally removable incase if i have larger cargo. Therefore it will be made simple and to my needs. I do have friends, and a family and since my wife has a versa "her family car" then i hope she dont try to distract me. lol.
