I'm planning on getting a body kit for my 96 240. I was gonna get a fiber glass kit but i heard urethane is the way to go. Does fiber glass break too easily? Help!!!

Fiberglass breaks easily, but it can be easily repaired too. Mine is made of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and it's very durable. I slid into a curb and cracked it, but the guy who does my body work fixed it and you can't even tell anything happened.

The way I think about body kits: All of them will break easily (because anything expensive seems to be that way...) Just be carefull with it and you won't have to worry.

Hey, if you are ok with the fiberglass kit, I have a brand new Veisile (i think that how to spell it) body kit for a 95-96 240sx. I bought the kit a couple of months but was shipped the wrong year. I have a 97-98. This kit is still brand new never installed. I paid about $500 after shipping and will take a loss on it for $250 just to turn it. If you are interested, hit me back or call me at 321-302-8160.

in additional to what the other guys said,

urethane is more oem material. Your front stock bumper is a urethane bumper I believe (from what I remember).

However, urethane is also heavier.

Although it may not be much, replacing front bumper, rear, and fenders w/ fiberglass is lighter, so even after adding side skirts, your car "should" be a little lighter, and at worse about the same. So a lil .00001 hp increase for you.

Yes urethane will crack less easily because it bends more -> so neg side is paint will tend to chip off easier.

Get a carbon fiber body kit and call it a day .
