question on airbags

okay ive done a search on the website and couldnt find what i was looking for.i have a 96 240sx , i bought it wrecked from an aution.the airbags were deployed , i replaced them with a new seti recieved both airbags and control module from the seller. When i went to replace the parts i accidentally broke the spiral cable in the steering wheel. So now i have to find a new spiral cable. Will the airbags work with the new spiral cable?. or did i need to get all the parts as a set. (airbags,module,cable)

To install these , all i need to do is disconect the battery and wait a while, then install all the parts before i plug them in? and turn the igniton on?any help would be appriciated, thanks

Your spiral cable should be all you need. when you disconnect the battery leave it disconnected till you have all parts back in the car and connected. Then connect the battery.
