well according to my wiring i plugged into the oxygen sensor wire but when i turn on the car i get no reading from the gauge on initial start up it is literally nowhere in any range of the meter. also has anyone used a water temp gauge yet, and did you use the sending unit that came with it or tap into the existing temp sensor.

on the water temp gauge I have an adapter on order that I should get this week. That should allow me to use the electric temp sensor that came with the autometer gauge.

A lot of the cheaper A/F gauges will not work with the Nissan system. Get a wide band and install a second bung and you have a good dependable system.

an LED A/F gauge is nothing but a blinky light. don't waste your money.

i have an autometer electric water temp gauge. i made an adapter for the coolant return line; works great.

something like this, but not that tall...it's more like flush to the pipe:

btw! don't waste your $ on the af gauge...it's useless; a wideband one is the way to go.

I have seen similar inline adapters. I am a little concerned about having a posible failure point by cutting into the line because it is two extra connectors. Plenty of people do it so I am probably just paranoid.

I ordered the adapter to make it fit in the port where the stock temp sensor goes. Hopefully it will work

I have a spare RB25 engine coolant temp sensor. The one for the ECU.. not the one for the gauges. It has two wires.

I thought that replacing that would help me with my cold start, but it didn't.. anyhow.. I got a guy in Japan to send me a used RB20, and he found a 25 for me as well and just threw it in.

So I can send it to you for a nominal fee if you want... (just cover shipping for me and it's yours if you want to use it)

The Zextronic wideband I have in my car can simulate the stock narrow band signal and out put it back to your computer don't really need the 2nd bung.
