We just rebuilt the motor. Bored it .60 over. Runs great.

The area I live in I do not smog. So everything is bypassed, blocked off, or removed.

Carburetor. I am using a new carb for an 82 model. Instead of the 6 prong It has 2. Basically I only use power to the heater on the choke.

THe power seems to be there. The carb has a slight hesitation on takeoff. But it runs ok otherwise.

So what is the deal between the 2 prong and the 6 prong carbs? I have the removed factory carb. It was cleaned up and rebuilt. I bought this 82 model carb while waiting for the rebuilt motor and kept it on.

I know webbers might be a upclick. But I am tinkering with these. So can someone explain the makings of the carbs? The electrics do what? What is this solenoid (two wire) thing on the side of the carb? Not having any power to it means what?

Thanks
