My 4x4parts.com 2"suspension lift (springs and shocks) came in yesterday.
Can I just go to a regular tire store and get them to install it? I feel like they will not because they cant warranty the parts, or some other BS.

I've had garages do just labour for me, e.g. mount tires I didn't buy there on rims I didn't buy there. They didn't complain and were still happy to take my money for labour. They did charge more for the labour because I didn't buy their parts, but that extra surcharge was nothing compared to the money I saved by buying the tires online and the rims through kijiji.

I haven't used kijiji before. I'm going to check it out. I called an off road place here and he said he has an opening next Friday. I'm going to take before and after measurements and pics of the measurements. I'm going to try to remember to measure again in 2 months so we can see how much "settling" has occurred.

I'm assuming you're in Canada (since densetsu is from Edmonton and referenced Kijiji - a place I've never heard before here in the US).

Anyway - have you tried calling up local mechanic shops to see if they'll do it for you? Usually a mechanic doesn't care where the parts come from (usually!!!) as long as they can get something for labor. I would prefer asking a private-owned shop first before a local shop-chain.

Good luck!

Most shops will do it for you - but there will be zero warranty as you supplied the parts; not them.

The guy I called is going to do it next Friday. It's an off road only place here. I'm frigging pumped. I know it's only 2", but a lot of guys would kill for 2". Lol

Are you going to get some meatier tires to go with the lift? Your PF is quickly becoming the forum's best!

Just curious, where are you located?

Why dont you install it yourself? It took my about 7 hours for my suspension. Unless garage space / tools are a problem for you i see why then.

I'm honored that you would even say that Pat. That is great. I need to take more pics of it with my new stainless brush guard and tail light guards.

I am located in Mobile, AL. About 30 minutes from Gulf Shores... where the BP oil spill was. Roll Tide!

I have 265/65/17 on it now(Brigestone Duelers), which are equal to 31". I was thinking the same size would be good, but with a deeper/more aggressive tread pattern.

Miami, I have the garage and some limited tools, but I have no clue about suspension stuff, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take. LOL. So the place is Steves off road and he said he willie it all on for $240 springs and shocks. That's definitely worth it to me.

Tomorrow is the big day. I'm going in at 9am tomorrow to get it installed. I posted the model numbers of the shocks and struts in the Supension lifts 101 sticky thread.
