Question on 2009 Navigation

I can not figure out a problem I am having with my navigation on the 2009 Murano. Whenever I try searching for a place by name it gives me those starting in Massacheusetts and then goes state by state. I live in New York and would like it to search NY first and by closest to my location. Can someone tell me how do I change some setting to make the Nav. work this way. Thanks.

Not at the car right now, but if I recall - when you search by name, it does exactly that... It looks in its database, and however that was organized, it will show up...

You have to click the Search by Dist button thing, instead of by name... I don't remember if you can make that default, but if no one else finds out, when I get back to the car I'll check.

Remember, for the most part, you can change some settings within the "Settings" menu, and also within the Main Nav menu... Just check through those. Or, you can try calling your local Nissan dealer to see if they have an answer.
