Im not sure if there's something wrong with my coupe, but when I accelerate from a stop it sort of glugs a bit and feels jerky or jumpy until Im doing over 60km...Is this the CVT??? or could I have a problem? Anyone have this same issue with their car?

Are you warming up the car enough? Flooring it? It should be pretty smooth if you are just normally accelerating....The CVT feels like a one speed transmission in most situations. Try manual mode and see if it drives the same.

How many degrees below zero is it when this happens? <g> Noticed you are from Calgary. Super cold weather seems to do some odd things to these transmission's/CVT fluid.

We 've been having one of the warmest winters and its like tee shirt weather most days (warm and sunny). So I know its not the cold...if you say it should feel like one continuos gear then maybe something is wrong? I do drive it pretty hard but thats just recently (tried to be gentle on it for the first 3000km). I have my first oil change on the 29th so I guess I will mention it to them, just wanted to make sure it was something that was worth a mention. Thanks guys for the response!

Yeah, sounds like something is up. Mine is smooth as can be, no matter if I'm driving like like a hot head or a granny.

Well if the fluid isn't frozen solid, it should be very smooth transitions. I'd definitely make them drive it and assess.

Make sure you or they check the fluid level. I've never checked mine, which probably isn't a good idea. Getting the dipstick off is challenging.

sometimes I loose traction if I really really punch it...right now I have soft winters tires on (and its been warm out)But I remember someone saying they changed their oil and there was a lot of sh*t in it so maybe an oil change would help, I checked my oil earlier and it wasnt low...but who knows what crap is floating in it

I kinda have what you describe...but it's not that bad...

when accelerating smoothly from stop, at exactly 40km/h it will be felt for a really short period of time (a fraction of a second). I'm not sure it's abnormal...but still...you never know...I'll mention it to the dealer next I go for a check up
