I just bought and installed these on my '97 240sx. Only question I had is why do the fronts say "Front" and rears say "Rear" on the inside of the rims? Can I still use the rims interchangeably? I was thinking about putting the same size tires all around for better tire rotation purposes. Any thoughts? Did they only do this because the rims came with staggared tires? Thanks.

That's what I've heard in the past.

It would be interesting to see if there's any clearance issue on the front brakes if you put the rear wheel on the front of a G35 coupe??

I've heard on the G35 Brembo calipers that there is this bolt that needs to be taken off when using certain rims. Maybe that bolt is also a reason for the stock 18"s having "rear" and "front" inscribed on it. In my situation, it probably won't matter, so maybe to me it's interchangeable.

I just need an answer so that I will know if I should go with same size tires or just go staggared tires too. I might as well go staggared tires if I can't rotate front to rear and rear to front.

They say front and rear because the fronts are 18x8 and the rears 18x8.5Also, the front caliper has a little bolt in it so that rear wheels don't go on it because the hub section of rear wheels dont have the cavity for the bolt that the front wheels do. Its like that so you don't rotate front to rear, since the rear wheels are wider.

I think the stock 18" G35 coupe rims are all 18x8 on all four. I looked inside of them before I installed them last night and I believe all of them said 18x8 and 30 on it.

Ya the stock 18s are 18x8 all around. As long as you have the same tire sizes, I don't think it should matter.

My mistake. 18's are the same width. 19's are different width. But the 18's probably have different offsets....

Searched around a little bit and the oem 18s are 18x8 and +30 offset all around. So once you mount same size tires on all 4 I think it should be ok to rotate front/rear. And you're right about there being a bolt sticking out in the front. Since the tires are staggered from factory they put the bolt on the front so that people wouldn't be able to put the rear rims on the front.

So does that mean the hub design of the front rims have a hole in it to fit that bolt? Just wondering.

It sounds llike I'll probably be okay with putting same tires on then and doing normal rotations between fronts and backs. Thanks.
