I just go along with whatever...special edition Acura Skyline with a gold top SR20.

Then i was crusing down PCH one day and was waiting for all the pedestrians to cross the street and some random *** kid sticks his head into my car and ask if i have a sr. i didnt say anything and just took off trying to take off his head, haha j/k

Then i was working on my car at work one day putting some new rims on and this old guy walks up to my car and says "looks like u got the silvia conversion" and i laughed because the body is all stock.

I smiled and said thanks, but I was thinking why do you have to tell me you're not gonna ask something?

Oh and then last weekend I was parked in front of my friend's house and I looked out his living room window right in time to see a guy get on his hands and knees and look into my front bumper (I guess looking for a FMIC) then go to the back and check out my exhaust.

some fo you may remember me psoting about him and his car that "idles at 10psi and revs to 33psi" just by "putting a hose clamp on the wastegate" and he had a 90psi on a supra

anyhow i had my hood poped with my KA24DE and he was like "Is that turbo?" i looked into my engine bay kinda made a gestrue towards my header and said "Noooope...sigh"

he then asked "That an SR20?" i again leaned over and took a strong look at the engine to make sure i indeed did not have an SR and replied "noooope"

he proceeds to ask "isnt the SR non-turbo?" i clsoed the hood and went inside

I am guilty of similar, though I don't get on my hands and knees, I don't loiter too long, and I refrain from going out of my way to walk around the car. Plus my taste for cars to gaulk at is abit off. Like that 50's Chevy Corvair sitting outside the Steak n Shake. I just love the Corvairs, 1950's styling in a package roughly the size of a current Civic.

Having an open downpipe RB 240 seems to throw quite a few people off...if they didn't go deaf as I passed by. Most of the time I couldn't hear what they were trying to ask me, even at idle. =\
