Question of painting rims

want the stockies to be painted

i know the best way is to get a shop to have it powercoatedbut i'm just looking for it to be spary painted and doing it by myself

any expert in the field of painting rims?what kind of grit paper?wet? dry?

i would be very thankfull if someone can give me some instructions

easy...dont do it...save money then either buy rims u like or powder coat...ull cheap out your rims and itll be more hastle than worth... some things you cant scrimp on ....this is one. time to do correct + hassle= no value over outcome. at the end ull just have painted stockies...

Yea get em powder coated... DO NOT PAINT. Paint will start to chip after a while. then you'll just have to keep repainting.

did you put something on your rear lights? they look darker than usual in your sig picture.

And is that the stillen spoiler? or the ebay one?

I agree with GryStrm. My friend recently painted his stock rims, they look ok but they don't really shine and look kinda like, well, painted rims. If you really want the aftermarket look for your rims either get them powdercoated or better yet just get new rims.

me?...they are bluebat's med grays...how ever i saw the drk ones ..and maybe just maybe....

truebut i seen people with self-paint rims in person and i must say it looks pretty good for only $4

$1 spay paint/wheels

conparing $4 with A/F rims, the ratial of cost/value is worth for me to do so.

not saying i'm going to use $1 paint, not saying i'm proud doing so, but untill i save up, i'll just have to try ways to improve the look of my coupe.

just temp before i get my rims.
