I think the N95 is too bulky. Try a 3G iphone. Can't go wrong.

You might qualify what you are looking for with features that you'ld like to see on it. There are plenty of phones to be had under $200. The N95 is a bit of an older phone by now. While it can still be relevant, I'd say, if you aren't stuck in a plan, at the moment, you'ld be better off seeking out a deal through on of the carriers on a more modern phone. Especially if you're looking for a smartphone type of a phone.

I cvan't speak to LG, but I never had any problems with any of the 4 Samsungs I've owned. The ones that broke were my own fault. My last motorola worked fine, but the battery stopped holding enough charge to get me through more than a day. My last 2 sammys were smartphones. I'm using the Omnia now. Awesome phone. Unfortunately, Verizon is the only carrier to offer it so it'll be pricey if you get a GSM version. Not to mention, the GSM version is not 3G capable while Verizon's version can do EV-DO Rev. A. The only real crutch in Verizon's version is that the GPS is locked to Verizon's VZNav program. Though, Verizon claims they are working on unlocking it, it was supposed to occur in the first half of this year. But they are still confirming it will be unlocked at some point. If you're not shy about reflashing a custom ROM, someone has released a version of WinMo that will unlock it.

Personally I love my N95 8gb and don't plan on changing it up anytime soon. Picked it up on craigslist for 250 with some scratches, bought a new housing, reset it to default and now its like i have a new phone. definately a good choice

Nokia 5800, Nokia N82, Nokia e70 (my personal fav), BB Storm, G1, or lastly an iPhone 2G...probably could get that for like $100-150 on CL. Like Kilinim said, you can't go wrong with an iphone

I'm a big Nokia fan. I've used them for years and have no intentions of changing anytime soon.

The N95, as others have stated, is getting a bit dated. It was a really nice phone for it's time, but I think you could get a newer model phone from them that is a "lower" model and get better features from it.

Stay away from the Chinese versions of phones. they're cheaper because they don't have GPS, or 3G.

My last phone was an N75, and it was a pretty good phone for a flip. It was music oriented and I liked that as I use my phone as my music player as well. (I listen to music all day at work, and then often have my phone plugged into the car as well) The main problem I had with that phone was that the battery life was HORRIBLE, but I got some spare batteries for cheap and a car charger and got used to it. I had to replace it though because I fell in a pool (I work for a pool/spa service company) and ruined it.

My new phone is an E75, and I love it. I wanted something with a full keyboard, but I have pretty big hands and need something with big keys.

The N-series phones are a bit more personal oriented, while the E-series phones are more business/personal oriented. I was worried that this work bias would make the phone difficult to use, but I've found the opposite to be true. It's quite simple to use, and if you're used to the Nokia S60 OS like I am, it's not very different.

I paid about $240 shipped for mine on eBay.

Do some research, find out what features you want in a phone, and go find out which ones fit the bill.

Another thing I like to do is visit all of the local phone places that carry phones. Sometimes it makes a big difference about how you feel about the phone once you get your hands on it.
