So its 5am and im a little sleepy, I need some questions answered that I coulnd't find in a search. This is for a ka24e

Ive been reading, and read this.

High Impedance injectors have been proven to be reliable up to 42.5lbs. Meaning there is enough coil strength to control the pintle properly. Beyond 42.5lbs in High Impedance there just isn't enough coil strength to control the larger pintle properly. Spring pressure must be reduced in order to even move the pintle. This results in losing linear response, slow reaction time, and dribbling (leaking). This is why many people using 50lb High Impedance injectors have found that their gas mileage gets even worse. Very few manufacturers even make a 50lb High Impedance injector because of these issues. At 57lb High Z, these problems are further exacerbated. Its a poor solution, but for many, including myself it was the only option we had at the time.

this info was taken from here http://www.zzperformance.com/z...r.htm

When talking about they are proven reliable up to 42.5 lbs, does that mean fuel rail pressure? Is this all high impedance injectors or only some? I want to run 460cc injectors out of a NA Rx7 2nd generation. They are high impediance, but they also have low impedance injectors that are more readily avail. So if I put more pressure in my fual rail to pressure these, will they be unreliable at higher fuel rail pressures. Is converting to low impedance a good idea if im running high fuel pressure?

With the low impedance, what is needed to wire these to work with a high impedance setup?

Ive included a sheet of top feed injectors from cars with impedance, what car its from, and other info.

If this doesn't make sence tell me.....very sleepy and disoriented but curious.

they said hi impedence injectors are good til 42.5lb/min.Assuming the FC injectors are rated at the same 3bar as Nissan's, you would be right at this limit (460cc=43.8lb/min). But if you increased base fuel pressure, you would be way over the limit.

Edit: Ive never heard this magic 42.5lb/min limit for high impedence injectors mentioned before...

Nope and I've seen 550's at 60 lbs of of fuel presuure work for over a year, no leaks, and stable AF's all the way though the band.

As to the other question, can you use low impedance injectors with a ka24e fuel rail? what, if any, modifications are needed?

You need to install resistors inline of each injector.

For the resistors, where would I buy these, say I had a set of 460cc low impedance top feed injectors. Is there a certrain resistor I have to buy? any help is appreciated
