Alright, i'll try to explain this in the best was possible.
A little while back, electrical problems with the fuel pump relay caused my car not to start because the fuel pump wasn't working. The problem was, one of the grounds to the fuel pump relay was getting 12V from whatever source. So i by-passed the relay because i couldn't figure out the problem, so i have it onto a switch. (A good security advantage also) Obviously, if the switch is off, the fuel pump is off, not pumping.
Anyways, this worked fine with no problems. And just last night, the car wouldn't start with the switch on, i have to turn it on to start the car, again, pretty obvious. But anyways, i did the flooding procedure and the car started and ran for a good 30-45 seconds, BUT, with the switch off. So i let it run until it ran out of fuel, with the pump off, so it obviously had a good amount of fuel already. So then after it died, i flicked the swithc on, and it started and ran fine. Then after i got to my destination, it sat for about an hour and when i returned to my car to leave, i had to let it run with switch off and do that same thing over again. And then this morning, it was flooded or whatever it is..., AGAIN. And i DID NOT leave the pump on while the car was off or anything of that matter.
I think that the pressure regulator failed and the engine is getting too much fuel because the pumps just pumping at the same constant pressure, and not changing when less or more throttle.
I guess i will remove the vacuum line from the pressure regulator, and they say if that line has gas in it, replace the regulator.
