Last night while driving on the freeway,My Sentra XE lost power.

I was able to get off the freeway and inot a store parking lot, I tried to start the car again and it would not turn over. I then popped the hood and checked the battery cables. I then tried it again and it started with not problems at all after that. I did notice that under the 'Positive' cover on the battery the battery connection has a bunch of build up on it. Could this be why I lost power?? Or could these be something more serious?

The car started fine this morning.

Any help is appreciated.

Mike

i have seen that many times. you prob have a bad connection at the cable ends. buy two cable ends from auto parts store and install them on your cables. you can clean the corrosion with coke and water.

also, put some white lithium grease on the terminals after you tighten the bolts so air and acid cant get to them, get under and ontop of the connector, just a little trick...
