I'm currently gathering parts for a twin turbo setup on my 3.8L 98 V6 Firebird. I had managed to get ahold of some DSM takeoff T25's, but ran into a problem.... :help

I will be adjusting the BASE boost on the turbos to either 4 or 6 psi, for gas mileage concerns and then I will have it adjustable up from there via MBC. I know to adjust the base boost without buying aftermarket wastegates and putting different springs in them you can do a modification to the stock wastegate actuator rod on the turbo using a stud and a nut to adjust it (if anyone has any more information on this, that'd be great).

Basically...the wastegate actuator rods on the DSM spec T25's that I had in my possession had rods with an 's' shape in them, so I concluded that I wouldn't be able to do what I wanted to with them. I saw a pic of the Nissan T25 and found that the rod was straight. From which turbo Nissan is this off of? And where could I find the takeoffs cheaply that either need rebuilts or that were just upgraded for a bigger hairdryer?

Looking for information on both that and the wastegate actuator DIY mod.

Thanks guys, sorry if it was unclear.

T25's were found in twin setup on 300zx TT's and single on SR20det's found on japanese market cars.

The actuator conversion your talking about( treads on the rod to make it adjustable) can also be done to S-bend actuator rods (seen it on a MR2), just cut a tread about 1.5 inch long on the end ,u need less then .25inch to adjust the thing afterwards.

I'd bet that you could easily source 2 used Z32 turbos off ebay or some Z boards...maybe even a junk yard. Who knows, maybe you can squeeze the I/C's in there as well and run a little more boost.
