Question for you 350Z guys in the VA/DC Area

I think a friend of mine is full of crap, but I am going to ask this question anyhow...

I was telling him about the VQ swap that I am considering doing to my car. This swap, depending on whatever else i do at the time will run between $5k and $7k for the swap plus any other miscellaneous costs that I incur. So I am considering setting aside about $10k for the project as I also want to switch over from my 5-spd "just an SE-R" transmission to the 6-spd Spec V transmission. Anyhow...To my question...

This guy CLAIMS that gently used 350Zs that have been garaged in the winter can be had for this $10k. Personally, I think he's full of crap, but I thought that I would check with you guys before telling him so. They go for a hell of alot more that $10k out here for a used one. Hell, $10k is close to the cost of a 300Z here.

Any insight that you can give me would be muchly appreciated.
