Question for those with Defi HUD/gauges

Well, I picked up an s13 last week and it has the super cool Defi HUD. It works great and everything, right now it displays my engine rpm and speed.

I two Blitz gauges installed in my dash, boost and oil pressure. Only the boost gauge works. I want to swap the dash out and give the interior a bit of a more cleaner look. My question is, to get the HUD to display oil pressure, would I need to just buy the sensor, or do I need an actual Defi gauge as well? Mind you I already have the control unit.

Sorry if it's a no brainer to some. I've searched around, and since Defi discontinued their HUD systems a while back, there's not too much info on it.

im not sure if the hud can display oil pressure...
you should just get a defi oil pressure and boost gauge you won't regret it.

Defi has a made a number of HUD systems over the years (and I can't believe that they're all discontinued!). Which one do you have? Both the VSD X and the VSD Concept can display loads of info - including oil pressure. The VSD Basis(?) only shows speed and rpms.

The VSD X can display the oil pressure on the HUD screen if you've got the Defi Link installed, you wouldn't even need a dedicated gauge just the sensor.

I'm not sure about the VSD Concept, I stopped my Defi obsession a while ago and just got used to fixing the OEM HUD. I might still have some printed material hanging around the house. If I find it I'll let scan it an email it to you or just send the hardcopy your way.

You could do what I was going to do and get the triple gauge that fits in one of the DIN slots below the radio. I know you probably don't want to spend the money on it but even the online demo sequence doesn't do it justice, you have to see it in person.
