Question for those with Autos

Please bear with me as its been a while since I've driven a non-fwd car. A couple of days ago, with the radio off, I noticed a rub/grind noise when I release the brake from a complete stop. Some of my previous rwd ****eboxes made this noise if the motor was cold and therefore reving high. Hopefully most of you will know what Im talking about.

Can someone please confirm if this is the norm otherwise I will have to tear a strip off the Infiniti car jockey as he was the last to drive it before I noticed the noise.

I hear grinding that I suspect come from the brake rotors but its not consistant. At 20k I had the dealership check the brakes for vibration and grinding. They put about 20 miles on the car and could not duplicate my complaint? They also micrometered my rotors and found 90% front and 80% rear brake rotor and pad left so I guess I won't need a brake job until around 60k miles.

I know I do get my brakes pretty hot so I thought it might be a slight warping issue?

I notice it after about the 4th run down the track when I go from 110 mph - 20 mph a couple time in a row after a short brake stall burn out

Is it happening only after coldstart? It maybe just a little sticky from the colder weather. I never heard mine tho. It could be do to the audio is always on I can't even hear my wife( now that's not always a bad thing).
