Our new Versa has the Bluetooth feature (VERY nice). My wife and I each have a BT capable cell phone. When we did the setup for the car, we assigned priorities to our phones. When we get in the car, if we each have our phone with us, it's supposed to default to the phone with top priority..right? But if the only phone in the car is priority #2, do we need to do anything? I wasn't sure if we needed to do a "Select Phone" command. Any help would be great. Thanks.

My wife and I had the same dilema. What we ended up doing is setting my phone as priority 1 because I drive the car the most. We set hers up as priority 2 and also set her phone to ask permission to connect to the car's bluetooth. From what you listed, I think you've done all you need to do and it should work out ok for you.

One thing to remember, though. if the priority 2 phone is connected to the bluetooth, it will stay connected even if the priority 1 phone shows up after it gets connected (until the car is powered off and resets).

I hope that helps.

That does help a lot. Thank you! One question though: Why did you set your wife's phone to ask permission to connect? Just currious.

We set hers to ask permission because she has a bluetooth headset that she normally wears for work and likes to use that if she knows she's going to take a call in the car that will continue once she's out of the car and at work. Also, there are the occasional times when I forget to turn on my phone and so it's an extra reminder for me to figure out why my phone isn't on.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. So far I'm really impressed with how well the bluetooth works in the Versa. I had installed an after-market bluetooth kit in my wife's last car, and it sounded pretty bad compared to this one.

Yeah, the bluetooth works pretty good.

I had only one issue with it, but after power cycling my phone the problem went away.

Super phones tend to need to be cycled with bluetooth accessories... (I have a sidekick, but i've found this problem with blackberry's and treos and palms too)
