There is a rumor going arund that the 740cc injector program that jwt uses is not very smooth idle wise...For some reason, the 550cc injector program they use is more repsonsive and smooth when it comes to idle and shifting...

I currently have the 370cc inj program and its as fine as can be. I was about to send it back off to have it re-tuned for the 740cc injectors, when someone on my yahoo im told me that the 740cc inj prog is not that good.

Im getting my S14 in about 2 weeks and once it arrives, im gonna do a ka swap and get her up and running. I dont want any delays..

So whats going on with these setups..?? Is this just a horrible rumor spread by a pist off jwt customer that got a bad unit or what..??

ThanksRobert

the tech told me that their msd programs idle smoother than their CC programs, and their cobra mafs programs run much more smoothly than the Z32 programs, due to the sheer number that they have dynoed of one versus the other. *shrugs*but it goes without saying that a 4 cyl with injecors over 550's isn't going to idle as well. thats a real big injector.

my 72lb injector, cobra mafs program runs great. no complaints here other than being lean at first and having them reprogram it but its good now.

the 72lb injector program (756 top feeds which require top feed fuel rail) is a good program and idles fine, etc.the 740cc injector program (side feeds that goes into stock fuel rail) is a slightly less developed program supposedly.the 72 lb program would use a cobra mafs and needs resistors inline of the injector wiring to the ecu.

those JWT Ecu's are expensive, are they really worth it? and rn240SX, how in the world are you staying alive on a stock fuel pump?

hehe...

Ok, Im running on the STOCK Fuel Pressure Regulator which is a 1:1 ratio.Which means for every pound of boost present, the fpr will ADD (1) pound of fuel pressure top the rail on top of the 43.5 psi...So if am running 5 psi, then the fpr will add 5 pounds of fuel pressure for a total of ~48.5 psi of fuel pressure. Im running 10 psi which adds 10 pounds of fuel pressure giving me about ~53.5 psi.The stock fuel pump can handle that fine. Im not sure what the actual limit is, but ive heard that it may be able to handle 55 psi...Ive been running 10 psi on the stock fuel pump for well over a year now with zero problems. Now, once i go past 10 psi, then yes I will definitly upgrade the pump.

well, heres a jwt ecu programmed for z32 mafs and 740cc injectors. not sure if its ecu only or all or what.http://ka-t.org/ipw-web/bullet...t=661

if you decide not to do that, then just contact Enthalpy since he just tuned a turbo ka with 740cc side feeds and z32 mafs. im sure he'll work out a deal for ya.

Thats funny cause I just spoke with him like 3 days ago and he told me that he was still in the works of "trying" to tune ka motor's...

well, from what i know and have seen on freshalloy, he has tuned two turbo ka's in person on the dyno.maybe he was referring to an "off the shelf" type program.
