QUESTION FOR SPEEDRACER1

hi there sorry to bother you but I have a question. I was told by you that o2 wiring from a red top and a blk top harness was different on the ecu pins. my question is, I have a blk top engine whit a E5 ecu but I have a red top harness and my o2 (fat type) is not working. what pins do I have to change to make it work. I seen the ecu pinout but I cant unthere stand because its in japanese. thank you very much.

I dont know the exact wire on the redtop harness but basically it goes like this. Pin number 114 on the E5 blacktop ECU is one of the O2 sensor wires (I know because I took apart a blacktop harness). Its a brown wire with a yellow stripe. On the 62 ECU there is no wire there.

After this I am not entirely sure where to go. The 62 harness has another brown wire with yellow stripe at pin #42, I am unsure whether this goes to the O2 sensor or not because I havent taken apart a redtop harness yet.

Basically I know the O2 sensor wiring is different but until I take apart a redtop harness I will not know for sure where the other wire (aside from the power and sensor wire) from the O2 sensor goes to exactly.

thank you very much speedracer1 for youre help. I found a tread here in nico about a member that did a hole report on o2 wiring on red top and blk top harness and it turned out that you can use a red top harness whit a E5/E6 but you cant use a blk top harness whit a 62/63. And another thing it turned out that my harness is not a red top harness its a blk top harness I know because I checked my harness and it has pin 114 which red tops dont have. then I checked my o2 to see how much voltage it was sending to the ecu it read .9 volts, according to the guy it should read some were from .1-.9 volts .1 been super lean and .9 been super rich so I guess then its just my o2 that needs to be replaced. once again thank you very much speedracer1 for youre help.

s13fx are you asking about the diagrama if you are then the left side is for a red&blk top harness exept that a red top harness does not have pin 114 thats only for the blk top harness its the ground for the o2 sencer. And the right side is for a TYPE X model.
