i have a fujita intake on my 6mt 2.5. ive reset my computer a couple of times and noticed somewhat of a change.

before intake and with premium fuel i was averageing about 28.4 mpgs with a avg speed of 30mph, and now with intake and still running premium fuel, i average about 32.6 mpgs and 32 mph. and that does change with driving habbits, since i like the sound, ill shift a little later and excel a little faster just for fun. so im shure if i drove normal id squeez a little more mpgs out of my car. and even with an exhaust you would prob get a little more out of the car. i also noticed a change when i switched to premium fuel, i got a little better gas millege on my total distance, or dte if you will.

I have a 3.5 and get 22-28 MPG depending on circumstances. A 2.5 should def get better than that!

I have the Injen intake and Stillen exhaust. I saw no noticeable difference in fuel economy during normal driving, although I only had the car 10 days before the exhaust went on, and 3 weeks before I added the intake, so there weren't too many tankfuls to use for comparison.

Do you idle the car a lot, or drive in slow or bumper-to-bumper traffic? That will very quickly kill your mileage.

I have a 2.5 and I get 25 mpg. It all depends on where your driving whether its highway or city. That does seem really low mpg though. Do you sit in traffic every day or something. Does anyone know what the best intake is for a 2.5 cvt

No, you will not see/feel anything significant under same driving conditions on a normally aspirated car.

Cold air intakes / higher volumetric intakers and exhaust are overkill for normally aspirated cars. You might impress the kids at a local car show, but that's about it. The power gains do not justify the investment.

... but, if you would have a car boosted by a turbine / supercharger, then we would have another story on our hands. Another thing you should look at would be the warranty, as some dealerships would consider these enhancements as warranty voiders.

As I said, no noticeable change in fuel economy (the OP's query), but I differ on whether there is a noticeable gain. It may not be much, and may not seem worthwhile for the investment, but my car is definitely quicker in the range that interests me most (about 40-70 MPH) because I drive a lot of two-lane highways with limited passing opportunities. I doubt that I am seeing the dyno gains reported by the makers (17-22), but I suspect I am seeing a gain of at least 10-15 HP. Can you feel the difference between 270 and 280-285 HP? Yes, when you encounter the same circumstances time after time. But I think you need to do both mods - better breathing requires higher flow on both sides of the engine. JMO though, and it isn't cheap, but it is easy. A turbo or supercharger would be nice.... but the cost per HP isn't much better.

I really dont see a difference to be honest. I have the Nismo Catback and a 3.5

Alot of my driving is slow moving traffic. My job is about 7 miles away and no matter which way you go traffic is always traveling below 50 and stopping constantly (traffic lights).

I get about 18 to 19MPG. Although, Santa delivered a nice orange Fujita box and a big envelope from Stillen yesterday a little late

in theory, exhaust and intake SHOULD improve fuel economy.... BUT you get addicted to the sound and find yourself flooring the gas more and more often and waste more gas do to the urge to go fast and hear the amazing sound..... i have exhaust and love the way it sounds but thats my cruising sound, for racing and showing off i open my cut-out..... i find myself doing 75% of my driving with the cut-out OPEN (which is illegal lol).... i think i'm averaging 15 or 16 MPG right now (thats with some hwy cruising thrown into the mix too)

You might and I mean might get a full 1 mpg with intake and exhaust if you are lucky. I get about 21-23 in town and have seen as high as 30.3 on the highway but mormally around 28 with the 3.5.

I have acheived 31mpg HWMPG in my old 350Z.
