What are the dimensions of the DVD player in the center console? Im looking to install a DVD player in mine and looking to purchase a new center console from an M that had the DVD player option. Id like to install an aftermarket DVD player in the same location. Thanks! :bigthumb:

Juat measured mine - Face is 2" high and 7" wide. I can't measure the depth, but the floor of the storage compartment next to it is 6" below face of DVD player.

Hope that helps.

Man I love this forum...lol! Thank you so much for the quick response. Guess I can start looking for an aftermarket DVD player with similar dimensions. On a different note, looks like you have quite a stable from your sig!

Glad I was able to help. Let us know what you come up with. BTW - there are no visible screws or clips holding the DVD player in place and the 2" x 7" face does not have a flange.

Why not look for the DVD player from Infiniti and not worry about the size? I haven't looked but would think you might have some luck looking on eBay or some of NICOclub sponsors?

Thanks for all the info. I've been on eBay examing the pictures of the oem DVD player and had those exact questions. I installed a DVD player in my last car and may do something different. I used the USB option more than running DVD's in there. Hmmm.....so many options...lol.

I could use the oem DVD player but it's soo much easier to wire up than the oem one. The rear of the oem DVD player does not have RCA/AUX in or outs. I could view pictures from my digital camera on my old set up since there was additional RCA INs on the DVD player I chose. Plus, aftermarket DVD players are half the price....lol.

If anyone were to go the OEM player route they would definitely need to get one from Ebay or another member. My player is going out and will cost over $250 to get a new PART from the dealer, and that isnt even new. Dealer said there are no more new ones and the only way to get it replaced is to buy a re-certified unit from the manufacturer. No way I am paying $250 for a used part that only costs $10 in parts to make.
