I have an idea and I'm wondering if the following is possible:

I do not own an I-pod, but I would like to use the I-pod cable in my console to keep the phone charged whilst on bluetooth. I have an HTC-ONE with the micro-usb socket for a charger.

I wonder if anyone makes an adapter for, or maybe a completely different cord that will attach from my I-pod outlet in my console with a micro-usb male jack at the opposite end? Also, would this interfere with the bluetooth functionality of my HTC?

If you lot have any experience with this, any suggestions would be appreciated. I tried Radio Shack, but they say there is no such adapter or cord. I would rather not use the cig lighter charger if possible.

why not just use your cell car charger and plug it into the cigarette lighter? Or use the one in the back of the console and lay your phone inside the console.

Hey Larz,

I found this....I wonder if this is what you're referring to?? I had a similar situation where I needed an adapter for the iPhone 6 to connect to the 'original' iPod docking cord (for my USA Spec iPod controller). I saw several adapters when I originally searched and remembered seeing one for Android phones....

@ Scchuk: I am currently doing that but I don't want wires showing or anything hooked up to the cig lighters. Looking for a clean way to hide the phone in the console while it continues to charge.

@ CPJ: Thanks mate ! That is exactly what I was looking for! Now I can use the bluetooth feature and keep it from discharging the phone.
