My 1998 Q was purchased new by the original owner at Pepe Infiniti in White Plains, NY yet it is a "California" car. Does anyone know how this could have happened?

Thanks, Max...that makes sense. On the other hand Mako, not so much although I see some slight connection. "The Great Kreskin" clearly needs something to control his emissions.
