i would imagine you get a lot of harrasment. There will be an endless arguement here soon. Not from me but between others.

But if your talking about an S13 from Japan. That is completely illegal. Nothing legal about silvias from japan over here.

Same goes with the S15.

NO way. You could do a RHD conversion here on a USDM S chassis and its totally legal, as long as you keep the VIN in the same place it was before the conversion. The only thing thats illegal about it is the engine you'd have under the hood.

But a pointless argument unless you plan on switching a whole lot of equipment pointlessly doing a conversion that you will not have any real mechanical support with on this continent, anyway.

If you got RHD you'll be screwed in drive through lines. I guess you could just drive through backwards

You obviously haven't been through Louisiana lately. They just sit in the middle of the car and drive their LHD like it was nothing. The next time I'm at my mom's house I'll take a pic of their postal carrier.

"Silvia S13 Japan Domestic Market Right Hand Drive with Projector lights! The real JDM thing with a USDM VIN (that took forever to get. It is registered as a 93' Nissan Speco)."

there you go. the vehicle is NOT legal to be registered for use on public highways.

basicaly, the vehicle has a fradulent VIN number, enabling you to register the vehicle as something its not.

the car itself is JDM.

registering and driving that car would be in violation of at least 3 or 4 federal laws.

[unless the owner misworded the ad, and the car is actually legal. i doubt it though.]
