For double din stereos you can use the stock mounting brackets.

Save yourself $80 and get it from SE. They give you all the install hardware just like Crutchfield does.

If you would have clicked on "installation details" it would have told you to use your factory brackets, nothing else needed. This is, of course if you entered your vehicle year, make and model.

actually i ordered it from amazon for about 372$ shipped, then ordered the other needs separately, so cost around 400$ total.

You do not need a mounting kit. I made the mistake of buying it and I didn't use one part from the kit. I would suggest buying the wiring harness.

Also, don't buy from Crutchfield. They are way too expensive.

Also if you haven't seen it yet, check out the tutorial:

http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=227206

That helped me out a lot. Like the tutorial says, don't unplug the airbag light...there's one little screw that holds the light to the dash. The tutorial tells you how to cut and splice the existing wire, but I would suggest buying the harness.

Crutchfield is actually not that expensive. I checked all over for my stereo elsewhere and couldn't find a better deal when you total the order and include shipping. I also got a Free XM module for the home and car and a remote control. So for me the Crutch didn't cost too much.
