I dug up some old posts about removing the power seatbelts and saw a post of yours with pics. You mentioned that the s14 seatbelts are a little too short but still bolt up. Will I be able to bolt some s14 seatbelts into my hatch and have it still be strong enough for a daily driver in case of accidents? Will they still fit with the full interior? Thanks for you time!

If you want to keep full interior, best bet is to contact one of our friends in American Jr. and have them raid a junkyard and get you a and b pillar trim pieces, as well as the seatbelt and if possible all the associated bolts, but primarily that bolt at the very top. Some of the bolts are different lengths between S13/S14, but it didn't make any difference to me because I don't have those panels.

The problem with S14 belts in S13 being that the assembly that bolts to the "bottom," there is one bolt on the bottom and a "hook" up top, basically, you put the hook on, then bolt it down at the bottom. However, upon closer examination, the lower bolt is the one that takes all the stress, the metal around the hook is really flimsy, and doesn't appear to add much, if any integrity to the seatbelt setup. The bolt that takes most of the stress, aside from the bottom bolt on the main assembly is the one at the top of the B pillar.

However, if possible, I'd say it's still worthwhile to get a complete changeover from CDM 240SX.
