Hi. I'm going to be purchasing a Rogue some time this week. I like everything about it except one thing - the fact that the aux. port on the radio is in the front of the radio. I know this is to make things easily accessable, but I would like to hide the wire going to my iPod. Currently I have an iPod2Car adapter that works great. It hooks into the CD changer port on the back of the cars radio.

My question for anyone who has replaced their factory radio - is there a CD changer port on the back of the factory radio? I asked several sales people and they didn't know.

Thanks in advance :)

There's some decent pics in this ebay listing:

It's been a while since I was looking into adding an aux. port via the cd changer port, so I can't recall what to look for in the pictures, so I hope the pics there help you!

Thanks for the link. It doesn't look like there's a port in the back for a CD changer. I'll have to stick with going through the front aux. until I upgrade the radio.

Thanks

Leo2005 discovered the base model radio has the same SAT radio input as the BOSE:

exchanging-oem-radio-for-a-dealer-remov ... 86917.html

The connectors from left to right:

L - Main Audio connector: speaker outputs, power, etc)
..- AV Unit connector: to Handsfree/Bluetooth module
..- Sat Radio connector: to XM/Sirius Sat Radio module/Optional Cd Changer?
R - Antenna

However, no one here has tried to interface to a base model radio yet to see if it works.

According to Peripheral Electronics, so long as the # on the top right corner of the face of the radio does not say PY00F, their interface will work. It's quite pricey though at $110.

IMHO, put the money towards a better head unit.

Thanks for your post. I already have an interface from Peripheral (it's an older one - probably 3 or 4 years old I think). I'm guessing as a short term solution (until I figure out what unit I'll be getting to replace the stock radio) I can contact them and see if there's an adapter that they offer (cheaper than buying the whole unit from them). That's good news.

Thanks again.
