Like possibly all-red, without the amber and white?

Well, here's the long and short of it...

I had bid on this ebay auction for a set of "all red S13 taillights, straight from Japan".

Pretty cool, I thought. So I bid.

Someone local emails me. "Dude, I saw you bid on those tails - there's no such thing."

You guys confirmed it.

I email the seller - "Are you SURE these aren't just regular USDM tails that are painted?"

He emails me back apologizing, saying he got them from Japan but that someone in Japan must have painted them. Ummm, yeah.

I'm about to withdraw my bid when I see someone has outbid me. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I can only imagine the HELL you guys woulda given me if I had won that auction.

I will never again bid without researching.

Either you like them or you don't.

Saying you didn't buy them cause they aren't JDM, makes you sound like every other JDM 240 wannabe drifter.

You missed the point.

I thought they were a "special" taillight that was unavailable here in the US.

They're just regular lights that were painted.

And I can do THAT myself.

If you have a dark car get the clearcorners.

Blacking out the tails looks kinda cool, but is danergous and a easy way to get a ticket.

I tinted my S14's Zenki lights lightly with one coat, filled scratches, cleaned em up nicely... (VW's have stock tinted lights) I love emand those crome coupe lights are nice, little too blingy for my taste if they were just clear fogged... like a set of clear corners, id be in love...
