I was wondering if the company is any good with suspension for the 240 s13's. A friend of mine who autocrosses in his honda civic has it and he's never had any problems with it and it feels really good to me but i hear alot of mixed opinions about the company... Anyone have any expierence with them... i was also considering Tein and DC2 but i wanted to get a few opinions on them from people who have them.. Thanxs -jack

There are two older threads about this same company, and all the top brass is in agreement, that we have no idea who they are, what manufacturing processes are in place, what QA standards, warranty or any other very important uncertainty.

Nobody but a few friends of friends with Hondas have heard of them. Some even labeled the marque as an Ebay brand. We encourage any and all interested parties to be the guinea pig and see how the quality and service is with this unknown company.

i researched a tad more (besides the 3 hours of researching ive done on zex, tein, jic, etc etc tanabe, etc)

looks like i should expect REAL similiar performance to the tein ra's (http://30moons.com/Nissan240SXCoilovers.php)

zex coilovers (race spec) have the exact same spring rates as the tein r's 10/8, and likewise have a mono-tube structure, as well as greater height adjustment when compared to the ha's/he's/flex.

after some hard thinking..... i guess im expecting one STIFF *** RIDE lol. the only downside to these coilovers seems to be no-dampening ability.

owell. cheap, stiff, 3" drop, coilovers, reliable.............. for $600. seems like a deal. im decided.

i hope i can give other people some help in regards in information about these coilovers. they are so new it seems like no one with a 240sx has purchased them yet. the 10 day return policy definitely helps out too.

You will hate the ride quality and your tires will become the slow speed damper of your suspension. The tires are balloons, so your car will literally bounce down uneven roads. this means less traction, because the tire's footprint is fluctuating and you will lose traction. This is one reason why some springs are too stiff for daily cars, and also one of several reasons why too stiff of a suspension will limit the car's ability. You don't have Formula1 tires, so you'll lose grip. Less grip in favor of lower car = the bad

now that i think about it, i think it would be quite too stiff.

7/5 is probably the highest you would want to go. im going to try to see if anyone has any d2's available for sale, i heard they are god and aren't much more than the zex's, and come with full 36 way adjustability.

It sounds like a good deal, more when a tokiko strut & coil kit cost about $500.But the brand who knows?

have you hear about : JDM UP GARAGEcoilover?

i am also wondering. let us know. also that site above with coilover specs is broken or being redone because all links go to the same place. If you wanted camber adjustment you could buy Tein camber plates and have a camber adjustable coilover for $800 (Tein plates are like $15-200 bucks).

what's more important than all the features is the valving... thta's what makes or breaks shocks... i can't say anything for them because I've never used them, but there's usually a good reason why it's so cheap. Not saying it will be bad, just stating the obvious.

What makes or break shocks is their valving as it is RELATED to the springs. You can have the most expensive shocks ever but if they don't match your springs, they ar worthless, even if adjustable. Hence people blowing KYBs Konis and Tokicos left and right with their aftermarket springs. Unless a shock has been MATCHED to the spring it is no good, no matter what the price.

The advantage of many coilover systems is that no matter HOW cheap they are, the shocks are always matched to the springs they come with, through a certain range of lowering. This is why I'm thinking of getting the Tokico spring/shock combo (instead of the NEX) because they are also matched and only $400, (the camber plate option also works for them).I am not sure how much I care about ride height adjustability if it costs me an extra $200. If the NEXs had dampening adjustabiolity then yes they woudl be the perfect cheap coilover. But they don't. Unless we can get a groupbuy on them going and they will be $400-$500 shipped.
