I have 240sx 95 automatic. I went to autozone today and got filter, gasket and mobil synthetic. they told me that I have to use 9 qt to change, however when I came back home, I only used 4 qt. so what is going on here ??? did I change the transmission oil correctly ??? is there anymore drain plug that I miss ? because I see only one drain plug so far

is there another drain plug close to torque converter ???

please help thank you

Maybe they were telling you how much te trans holds???? The torque converter holds a good few quarts and has a drainback valve to keep it full. The valve body to a lesser extent holds some fluid as well. Some also remains trapped in the clutch packs...All kinds of places for the oil to be trapped...When changing the fuild in an auto you generaly dont change all the fluid, only a portion. 4 quarts sounds about right for the amount you would change at once..I dont have an auto, and dont generaly deal with them but my understanding is that changing the fluid on an auto generaly is only really replacing some...sounds like you did everything right, the guy at the autoparts store just wasnt too bright.

Edit: by filter do you just mean the little metal screen on the valve body? or is there another filter some were on the 240's trans?
